The Problem.

The organisation needed to manage project cost corrections — moving or splitting costs between projects — but the process was mostly manual and error-prone. Cost data arrived in CSV files from external systems and was loaded directly into Oracle Fusion with no proper validation layer in between.

How We Built It.

An automated integration solution built using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to handle the entire process from file upload to final cost adjustment in Fusion ERP. Six staged phases with isolation between each so failures never cascade.

Automated File Processing

  • System automatically picks up CSV files from a secure folder

  • Transfer: moves 100% cost from one project to another
  • Split: divides cost into percentages and distributes across projects
  • All calculations and allocation logic handled automatically

  • On failure, the system stops processing to prevent incorrect data
  • Generates output file with status (Success/Failure) and error messages per row
